There are some really good moments in '78 to be sure but I would agree that it is the start of a decline. That is not to say that there weren't plenty of great shows in the following years...1979-82 have some really good stuff in there but I find myself skipping more and more songs while listening to shows after 1978.

Also, I must point out that drums/space came out in 1978 (correct me if I'm wrong but I think that is true) and for me that's something I really, really, really wish never happened. It ruined so many otherwise excellent second sets from 1978 onward.

You're right--the predictability of Drums, Space really knocked the wind out of the band. Agree 100%. I should have mentioned that in my OP.
